What is the highlight?
1. Luxury brands and flagship stores
Siam Paragon houses many global luxury brands such as Hermes, Channel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, etc. You can always find the shops of luxury brands on the M floor which are the same level and accessible from the BTS sky train. Many shops have 2 storeys such as Cartier, so of course you can also access from the 1st floor as well.
Inside the Siam Paragon department store on the M floor, you can find branded cosmetics at the beauty gallery such as Chanel perfume, Dior Beauty, Estee Lauder, Lancome, Shiseido, Sulwhasoo etc. as well as multiple shops for luxury watches and jewelry at the very end. Brands such as Patek Philippe, Tag Heuer, OMEGA, Grand Seiko, Cartier, Tiffany & Co., BVLGARI, etc. are located here.
On the 1st floor, which is the next upper floor from the M floor, shops on this floor are still global brands such as Prada, BOSS, Dolce & Gabbana, Sirivannavari and Uniqlo which is located at the back.
On the 1st floor, there is no entrance to the department store area from the main hall. You have to walk inside Uniqlo first. To the other side of the shop, there will be the entrance to the department store. The department store on the 1st floor offers local fashion brands such as ASAVA, Victeerat, Kloset, etc. which are popular among Asian super stars.
On the 2nd floor, it is the shop for men’s favourite hobby. Brands such as luxury car brands Aston Martin, Porsche, Mini, Tesla, etc. are located here. Audio equipment and camera shops. Home decor such as H&M home and Zara home. The department store on this floor offers menswear and sports wear including golf equipment.
On the 3rd floor, it is the shop for furniture, electronics services such as True and AIS. Kinokuniya Japanese book shop chain. The department store on this floor offers a BeTrend stationery zone as well as a mother and kids zone for babies’ equipment and small children’s apparels.
The 4th floor, the last floor of the department store, offers kitchen and electronic appliances. The plaza zone is now mixed with electronic shops and restaurants.
Nextopia on the 5th and 6th floor is the new shopping area dedicated to sustainability products. Here you can find low carbon footprint local products, items made from recycled materials and plants. There is also a huge playground for children here. You can leave your kids and go shopping for sustainable products to save the world at the same time.
2. Wide ranges of restaurants and desserts shop
Restaurants are mostly located on the G floor (Ground level) and the 4th floor. Starting from the G floor which is the most crowded, you will find food stalls mixed with restaurants as well as Gourmet Market, a premium supermarket with freshly made food located on this floor. Thai food stalls, located right in front of the super market, offer mainly take away foods and snacks such as Moo Ping (Thai roasted BBQ pork), Kanom Buang (Thai crispy crape), and various kinds of bakeries, cakes and desserts. Next to the food stall area, there is a food court which is filled with Thai famous street food shops and a free seat for a quick rest. However, it is always packed with people and nearly impossible to find a seat.
Thai restaurants spread across this floor such as NARA Thai cuisine, Coffee beans by Dao famous all day dining Thai restaurant with nice coffee and desserts, Burnbusaba northern-east Thai cuisine, Thong Smith beef noodles, etc. Thai drinks, coffee and dessert shops are located at the back such as After You favourite dessert shop of many people you must try, Pang Cha dessert shop famously known for its “Shaved ice dessert” with Thai tea sauce, Cha Tra Mue (CTM) famous Thai tea shop, etc.
There are also Japanese restaurants on G floor such as Zen simple Japanese set menu, CoCoICHIBANYA rice curry restaurant, IPPUDO ramen, etc. Italian restaurants such as AMICI cafe and pizzeria, Another Hound Cafe for Italian-Asian fusion food, etc.
If you could not think of any, you can always find global fast food chains around this floor such as McDonald, Burger King, Taco Bell, Subway, KFC, etc.
On the 4th floor, you can find various kind of restaurants in the EATELIER zone such as Baan Ice southern Thai cuisine, OISHI Japanese buffet, SUSHIRO sushi on conveyer belt, FATT CHICKEN x SLIM PIG chicken rice and other Chinese dishes, SMITH & Co for burger and pasta, KRAZ French cuisine brunch, etc.
3. One of a kind movie experience
On the 5th floor of the shopping mall, Paragon Cineplex offers many kinds of screens where you can enjoy the same movie in the new experience. The most unique screen would be the Screen X which is available in very few cinemas in Bangkok. The movie will be projected on 3 screens with viewing angle at 270 degrees which makes you feel like you are sitting inside a movie scene. The 4DX screen offers a movie with environment features such as shaking seats, water splash and winds. IMAX screen offers a gigantic screen with almost 20 meters in height which gives you an immersive movie experience.
Not every movie can be displayed on these special screens. If you appear to visit Siam Paragon during the time when there is a movie which is capable of using the screen, I personally recommend you to try some.
4. Family time at SEA LIFE Bangkok Aquarium
It is probably the only shopping mall in southeast Asia which has an aquarium inside and is the perfect place for a family. Here you can immerse yourself by walking across the Ocean Tunnels to explore the underwater world as well as many tanks to observe species of jellyfish, corals, seahorses, etc. There is also an Ice Playground zone where you can find adorable penguins diving around as well as Rainforest Adventure zone where kids can explore a bit closer to the rainforest creatures such as species of spiders and beavers, etc.
If you feel bored by just walking along the path and taking photos, there are additional experiences you can always purchase on top such as a Glass Bottom Boat ride to observe the shark in close or even a Shark Dive session for you to swim with the shark. Opening hours
Siam Paragon opens daily from 10:00 until 22:00. However, shops inside, especially the luxury brands and jewelry stores, may close earlier than the shopping mall. If you have your favourite brands in mind, please be there earlier than 20:00, otherwise you may have to come back again the next day!
Entrance fee
Siam Paragon is a shopping mall. Therefore everyone can enter for free. However, items and services in shops are not free. Don’t forget to pay at the cashier every time.
How to get there?
By BTS
This is the most convenient way to visit Siam Paragon. Get off the train at BTS Siam station. There will be the skywalk connected from the BTS at the concourse level where it feeds you right to the entrance of the shopping mall on both ends.
By MRT
If you come from another part of Bangkok where MRT is closer and accessible to you, MRT is considered to be a great option as well. However, you need to transit to the BTS skytrain network either from MRT Silom station to BTS Sala Daeng station or MRT Sukhumvit station to BTS Asok station and later get off the train at BTS Siam station.
By Taxi/Tuktuk
It is possible to go here by Taxi or Tuktuk. The driver may charge you an overpriced rate as traffic is really bad in that area but you can always negotiate for a lower price. As a local, I recommend negotiating the price first before entering the vehicle and keep in mind both you and the driver can always reject the deal.
By Car
Siam Paragon has parking spaces. If you drive a car, you can park here. The parking can be accessed from both Rama I road and Phaya Thai road. However, it can be very difficult to find the spot and you may have to circle around the parking area for about 20-30 mins to find an available slot due to its crowdedness.
There will also be a parking fee applied. For the standard rate, the first 2 hours are free. From the 3rd until the 6th hour will be 30 Baht per hour. From the 7th hour onwards, it is 60 Baht per hour. Of course you will get more free hours if you purchase items or services inside the shopping mall, and the rate will be different from the standard rate. Please always study the parking fee again at the shopping mall in case you have some spending amount in your mind, so you can save more.
