After I posted my article 5 Reasons Why You Should Visit a Shopping Mall in Bangkok For Once, I feel like I want to recommend my top 5 shopping malls in Bangkok which are definitely worth your time to visit and it is once in a lifetime experience in case you have no idea about it.
The list below is purely based on my experience as a local.
If you asked me on what kind of criteria I use when it comes to the list. Well… I consider the unique activity which you cannot find in any shopping malls at least in Bangkok, as well as the variety of activities and shops you can do at that shopping mall.
Here is the list.
Table of Contents
ToggleDusit Central Park
This is the newest and the most unique shopping mall of the year so far.
I really enjoy walking around this shopping mall after work, not to shop but to enjoy the view of Bangkok at night from the Dusit Aroon rooftop park of this shopping mall.
The rooftop park here is not just a typical rooftop park.
It is a well designed rooftop park which gives you the feeling like you are part of the Lumpini Park down there.

You can visit the rooftop park at both day and night time which will give a different feeling.
During the day, the view is absolutely stunning and you cannot find this view anywhere in Bangkok.
If you visit this rooftop park at night time, the temperature is much cooler and it is quite a great scene for a couple to spend some time together.
Not only a rooftop view, there are also many places to dine, ranging from high quality food court at the basement to the upscale restaurants at the top.

Emsphere
This is also another shopping mall I love.
This shopping mall never gives you a feeling like you are walking in a shopping mall.
Because the highlight of this shopping mall is not the shops, but the unique dining experience.
The vibe of street food with narrow walkways and the stalls or shops across both sides can be found here at Emsphere.
There are also many many restaurants and snack shops where you could not find anywhere else in this country located here.

If you stay at a hotel in this area, there is also an entertainment venue on the 5th floor of Emspher where you can find bars and nightclubs to enjoy the nightlife.

IconSiam
This is still a jaw dropping shopping mall where you can find an indoor floating market here.
Yes, an indoor floating market inside a shopping mall.

Here you can enjoy very good Thai street food and shop for locally designed souvenirs here at the floating market.
There is also a dedicated space on the 3rd floor of the IconSiam offering local handmade high quality products.

Siam Paragon
Right, the famous shopping mall at the heart of the commercial district of Bangkok is still among my top 5.
This is the place I highly recommend if you are aiming to shop luxury brands in Bangkok.
Siam Paragon is filled with almost every luxury brand in the world you could ever imagine.
From Bags, Watches, Jewellery, Cosmetics, Home decor, and Golf equipment, almost every luxury brand in the world in these categories can be found here.

There is also a new zone offering sustainable products called “Nextopia”.
This new concept of stores are never found in any shopping mall in Bangkok.
You should visit and support many great products which help us to live together with nature.

There is also an amazing aquarium inside this shopping mall as well, which is always amazing to see and definitely a unique feature you have never seen in any shopping mall around Bangkok.

Central World
If you are a shopaholic, Central World is the shopping destination you should not miss.
With over 500 brands including luxury and upscale brands, they all have a shop here at Central World.

This shopping mall also regularly hosts public events such as New Year’s countdown where you can enjoy the fireworks show in the heart of Bangkok.
I personally recommend visiting here during Christmas and New Year time where you can truly feel the vibe of holiday as well as the ‘sales’ price tag to celebrate the season of joy.

Bottom line
I highly recommend you to try at least one shopping mall around the area you stay. I guarantee the experience of Bangkok shopping mall will be one of a kind experience you will never find anywhere.
Plus, in case you forgot to bring some items which are mandatory for your trip or you just missed the food from your home town during the trip, shopping malls can definitely cater to your needs.
Feel free to share and comment if you experienced something different from this guide.
Have a blissful journey in Bangkok!
