Whenever I tell my friends that “Today I will go to the Emporium”, everyone always replies “You are such a rich guy”. Although I am not rich, it is the perception of the Emporium, the first shopping mall in Bangkok which introduced shops of luxury brands.
World of Luxury Shopping
Emporium is the first shopping mall in Thailand that compiles shops of luxury brands such as Dior, Louis Vuitton and Hermes all together in one place. It is known among the locals as the most luxurious shopping mall in Bangkok.
For me, the experience at the shopping mall is very relaxing, offers a sense of peace and luxury. I do not feel the pressure to buy something here, but rather enjoy walking around without getting bored.
Starting from the Ground floor where you can access from the street level, here you will meet the Beauty Hall where you can find any luxury cosmetic brands from around the world here. There are also several luxury shops on this floor such as Prada, Giorgio Armani, Coach, Bvlgari, etc.
The M floor, where you can access directly from the BTS skytrain, is filled with luxury shops. Here you can find brands such as Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Loewe, Ferragamo, Tiffany & Co, etc.
Extended Shopping Experience
“People do not shop luxury goods everyday” A quote from the owner of this shopping mall I found in some interview with the local media in 2025 which reflected the intention of making this shopping mall to be more than just a place which has only shops of luxury brands.
From the 1st floor onwards, you will begin to experience a mix space between the standalone shops of brands and the department store. Shops will be more towards premium brands, both international and local. The 1st floor will be about female apparels. Once you take an escalator up from the M floor, you will see many shops of female apparels brands ranging from luxury to premium brands such as Club21, Victoria’s Secret, Rituals wellness products, etc. Walking towards the back you will find multiple premium local brands in a format of a department store such as Repleat, ASAVA, VickTeerut, etc.
The 2nd floor will be male and sports apparels. Here you will find an independent sports store such as New Balance, Adidas, Skechers, etc. There is also a Sports Mall zone, offering you a compilation of sports apparels from various brands as well as a sport equipment like golf. At the back, there is also a small Watch Galleria, offering multiple premium watch brands such as Seiko, Daniel Wellington, Citizen, etc. as well as watch repairing service.
The 3rd floor is nearly a full floor department store format with mix categories between electronics zone, Kids Planet zone which offers children’s apparels and toys and Betrend zone which is a large trendy book and stationary shop. I would say the electronics zone at the Emporium is one of the best places to shop for an electronic gadget in Bangkok because of its huge ranges of products with nice designs.
The 4th floor is a full department store format offering home decor, bedroom and kitchenware. There is also an “Exotique Thai” zone zone at the back near the elevator where you can find a vast collection of Thai style antiques for your home decor, such as the traditional Thai porcelain “Benjarong”, crafted woodworks, etc.
Nice Food Court with Panoramic View of Benchasiri Park
At the back of the 4th floor, there is Gourmet Market, a premium super market where you can shop for drinks or snacks. In front of the gourmet market, there is a zone called “Gourmet Eats” where you can find freshly made snacks and desserts for you to buy back to your hotel or eat in the food court area.
Walking further to the very end, at the back of Starbucks, you will find a food court filled with many street foods with a Michelin guide. Here you have to exchange a cash card to buy food inside. Feel free to buy your favourite dishes and take your tray to the dining zone with windows for the panoramic view of Benchasiri Park.
Opening hours
The Emporium opens everyday from 10:00 until 22:00. The food court might close earlier than the shopping mall opening hours.

How to get there?
- BTS
This is the most convenient way to come to the Emporium. Get off the BTS skytrain at Prompong station. Here you walk towards the exit no. 1 or 2 using the skywalk and you will see the entrance of the Emporium right there.
- MRT
If you stay in another location where MRT is more convenient for you, you can take MRT to Sukhumvit station. From here you can take the BTS skytrain from Asok to Prompong station, which is only 1 station and the cost should be 17 THB (~0.5 USD) per single ride per person.
