Baan Kudichin Museum is a charming cultural heritage site located at the heart of Kudi Chin Community. It offers a unique glance into the history, traditions, and lifestyle of the Thai-Portuguese community that has been settled in Thailand for centuries. Here are highlights of this museum.
The Main Exhibition
The museum is dedicated to preserve and display the legacy of the Portuguese settlers who arrived in Thailand in the 16th century during the Ayutthaya period. They played a pivotal role in shaping aspects of Thai society, particularly in trade, architecture, and culinary traditions.

Food and Culinary Legacy

Museum’s Architecture and ‘Vintage’ Coffee Shop
The museum itself is actually a house of the real Thai-Portuguese people in the community. It is restored into a museum while preserving its beautiful ‘vintage’ looks of the Thai house.
At the end of the exhibition, there is a way to go down. You will see a museum souvenir shop. Here you can find interesting souvenirs with unique designs.
Outside of the museum shop, there is a coffee shop where you can enjoy food and coffee under a warm and inviting atmosphere. Feel free to relax your feet at the coffee shop area and enjoy some snacks and coffee and sit there as long as you want.

There is no entrance fee for the museum for everyone. However, you can buy souvenirs and drinks to show support to the museum.
How to get there?
Walk. If you plan to visit the Kudi Chin community, you can consider walking from Santa Cruz Church. Find a small alley called “Soi 3” which should be located on the right side of Santa Cruz Church. Entering Soi 3 alley, go straight about 150 meters. The museum is located on the right.
