Chud Thai: Dressing the Nation in Heritage
Chud Thai is the Thai national costume invented by Her Majesty Queen Sirikit. It was a great effort to modernize the usage of Thai fabrics from traditional body wrapping to wearable garment with the proper dress code in each occasion. In the exhibition hall, you will experience the story of each dress and the occasion of usage.
Decades of Style: The Royal Wardrobe of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit
The exhibition showcases Her Majesty’s attire designed by both Thai and international designers. These attire has been used for public state affairs, both domestically and internationally.
The exhibition also tells the story of her dedication and lifelong work to preserve and promote Thai textiles through the SUPPORT Foundation, helping to promote Thai woven fabrics and traditional crafts, gaining recognition and appreciation worldwide.
Royal Court Textiles of Siam
The exhibition showcases His Majesty the King’s ceremonial attire worn during the Royal Coronation Ceremony, as well as the White Silk Robe (Phra Phusa Sewatpat) worn by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great during his coronation.
The exhibition also displays various types of royal court textiles as well as the traditions associated with their use throughout history.

Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles opens daily from 9:00-16:30. (Saturday closure: 16:00)
Ticketing office opens daily from 9:00-15:30.
Entrance Fee
– 0 Baht for Thai citizens.
– 500 Baht for non-Thai citizens. The entrance fee includes access to 3 areas inside: The Palaces area, The Temple of the Emerald Buddha and Queen Sirikit Museum of Textile. The ticket also includes a session of Khon performance at Sala Chalermkrung as well.
Dresscode
