A place for you to enjoy ranges of art exhibitions from local artists and abroad. Located opposite to MBK Center, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre offers an easily accessible space for everyone to appreciate arts with only a few steps from BTS National Stadium station.
What is the highlight?
1. Wide ranges of temporary art exhibitions from various artists
There is no specific form of art exhibited here. You can experience any kind of arts depending on the artist who is exhibiting their work here, which ranges from paintings, sculptures, movies, digital arts, music or mixed.
Most of the exhibitions are from Thai artists, which can be university student’s work of art or well-known Thai artists. On some special occasions, you may find artists from abroad exhibiting their work here as well.
The exhibitions here are temporary, each lasting only a few months. Over 6 exhibition halls and empty walls around the entire building, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre sometimes accommodates 4-5 exhibitions at the same time. 2. Art shops and live portrait
After fulfilling your eyes and hearts with arts, you can also buy some small art pieces back to your home at the shop around the 1st until the 3rd floor as well as well-designed hand made small jewellery such as earrings or charms. There are also a few artists opening a small booth and offering to draw your live portrait here as well.

Bangkok Arts and Culture Centre opens from 10:00 until 20:00 every Tuesday until Sunday.
Entrance fee
Bangkok Art and Culture Centre collects 0 Baht entrance fee (Free). You can always walk in and explore each exhibition space. Most of the time, each exhibition will be free of charge and you can always support your favourite artist or a particular exhibition by purchasing a publishing material or brochure which tells you the full story of the exhibition in front of each hall. However, some exhibitions may require you to purchase a ticket before entering their exhibition.
How to get there?
By BTS
This is the most convenient way to visit Bangkok Art and Culture Centre. Get off the train at BTS National Stadium station. There will be the skywalk connected from the BTS at the concourse level right at the exit of the station to the 3rd floor of the gallery.
If you come from BTS Siam Station or from shopping malls around that area such as Siam Paragon or Siam Square One, you can also easily walk to the gallery without going to the street level. Get inside Siam Center and find the connecting sky bridge to Siam Discovery on the 3rd floor. Once you arrive at the Siam Discovery from the sky bridge, you will be on the 2nd floor of Siam Discovery at this point. Go down one level to the 1st floor, then find the exit to the skywalk on the other side of the shopping mall called “One Siam Skywalk” or “MBK Bridge” which connects to the gallery.
By MRT
There is no direct connection from any MRT station to Bangkok Art and Culture Centre. However, it is still a great way to travel to the gallery if you come from another part of Bangkok where MRT is closer and accessible to you. First, you need to transit to the BTS skytrain network which can be done either from MRT Silom station or MRT Sukhumvit station.
From MRT Silom station, you will transit to BTS at BTS Sala Daeng station. On this line, you can go directly to the BTS National Stadium Station without any further transit and access directly to the gallery right from the front of the BTS station.
If you come from MRT Sukhumvit station, you will transit to BTS at BTS Asok station. From this point, you have to choose whether you want to stop at BTS Siam station and walk according to the recommendation above (see “By BTS” topic) or do another transit to BTS Silom line (dark green line) at BTS Siam station. The transit between the BTS line at this point will be very easy, just using the platform on the opposite side, same floor after you get off the train at BTS Siam Station and continue a ride for 1 more station. The fare should not be different even if you ride one more station, as it already reached its ceiling price at this point.
By Car
In case you drive a car, you can park at Bangkok Art and Culture Centre. You can enter the parking lot from Phaya Thai road.
The parking fee will be 20-40 Baht per hour depending on how long you stay. For the first 2 hours, you will be charged at 20 Baht per hour. For 3rd-4th hours, you will be charged at 30 Baht per hour. For the 5th hour onwards, you will be charged at 40 Baht per hour. You can get the first 2 hours free of parking fee if you got the stamp at the information counter on the 5th floor.
By Taxi/Tuktuk
It is possible to go here by Taxi or Tuktuk. However, the traffic in this area is really really bad. You may experience slow to no response on the ride hailing apps or if you decide to call a taxi or tuktuk from the sidewalk, the driver may charge you an overpriced rate but you can always negotiate for a lower price. As a local, I recommend negotiating the price first before entering the vehicle and keep in mind both you and the driver can always reject the deal.
